WOW PowerLeveling: The most common of all the builds are the normal mages
The mages that use the elemental staff with lvl 3 armor can also use the level 45 item that gives a small hp bonus. The weapons and armor should be the same as a paper mage since they are relatively cheap WOW PowerLeveling (+6/10 or +7/12 mp and hp armor, +7/56 staff).
The most common of all the builds are the normal mages. These are mages that put in about 160 points into int so they can use crimson and complete armors, along with salamander and elixer staffs. These mages end up having much more defense and mana, and can actually hit for close to a paper mage in damage because of the stronger staffs.
A normal fire mage should go for +6/10 mp crimson to start (Since you're fire, the main priority is damage). Then move up to +7/12 crimson later or even +6/10 complete armor at level 60. And of course, the staffs you use should go up by grades as you level up (alchemy-->elemental-->viper-->salamander-->elixer).
Also, since there are so few paper light mages, the best staff (lupus staff) that you can use is much cheaper. That's about it for paper mages - check out Tifa's guide for armor and items.
